Privacy Policy

What data CritDesk keeps, why, who can see it, and how you stay in control.

1. What we collect

Account details (name, email), what you buy (orders, badges, payments, guest credit), what you do at events (check-ins, game sign-ups, library checkouts), and anything you write (game submissions, posts, reports). Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by CritDesk.

2. Why we use it

To run your account and orders, send receipts and event notices, keep the service secure, and meet legal and accounting duties. We never sell your personal data.

3. Marketing emails

Marketing emails are always opt-in and separate from creating an account. You choose them in Settings or by ticking a box on an event site, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.

4. Who can see it

The organizers of events you register for see your registration and order details, limited by their team roles. Staff of one organization can never see another organization's data. Stripe processes payments; our hosting providers store data for us.

5. Cookies and storage

We only use storage that the app needs to work: keeping you logged in and remembering your light or dark theme. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is open. Order and payment totals are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires, even after an account is deleted, but without your name or contact details.

7. Your rights

From Settings you can download a copy of your data and delete your account. Deleting anonymizes your name, email and other personal details on your orders, badges, sign-ups and posts, and removes your memberships and subscriptions.

8. Contact

For privacy questions about an event, contact its organizer from the event site. For questions about CritDesk itself, contact support from the app.
